Pets of the 603- SOLD OUT
Thank you to all the supporters of this project! We are now sold out!
Sandra McCarthy Photography and Golden Dog Adventure Company have teamed up to raise funds and create awareness of rescue dogs here in New Hampshire. Together with Mary's Dogs, we are launching a fundraising Photographic Art project called Pets of the 603; A beautiful limited edition hard cover-coffee table book with your dog as the star! The book will focus on rescue dogs and their stories, so if you've got a rescue that has infiltrated every nook of your life, this is for you! If you choose to participate, your dog will be allocated a two page spread in the book that will include their photo and story.
Each dog will be professionally photographed in a local NH location or in a studio setting. The book will make a wonderful gift for any dog lover. Proceeds from the book will go to the project beneficiary: Marys dogs.
The goal is to have the book ready for the 2023 holidays. All photographic participants will receive a wag bag of treats and be invited to a book launch party when the book is available for distribution.
There are a variety of sponsorship levels available for this project. You can choose to have your dog in the book or simply donate to the fundraiser. Our fundraising goal is $10,000 with proceeds given to Mary's Dogs to support their rescue work. With your help we know we can meet or exceed this goal.
About Mary's Dogs:
Based in Northwood, NH; Mary's Dog's was established in 2011 by Mary and John Doane, and later becoming a nonprofit organization in 2016, Mary’s Dogs rescues approximately 600 dogs annually from kill shelters in the south and re-homes dogs in New England. They also serve as a resource to communities in Southern New Hampshire and pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.
-
Sessions will be held between April and September of 2023. Once you've registered, we can coordinate a date that works best for both of us.
-
You can either choose an outdoor session which will be held in Southern NH at one of a few dog friendly parks in the area, or an indoor studio session to be held in Litchfield, NH.
-
The focus of this book will be on rescue dogs. Perhaps in the future, we'll consider additional animal types, for now we are looking for rescue dogs.
-
Each dog that is registered will be allocated two pages in the book. If you have more than one dog and wish them to each have two pages, you will need to register more than one session. If you are comfortable with them being together in the two pages, one session is acceptable. Please note, if you have more than two dogs you will be asked to bring along a second person to assist at the session.
-
You will receive one copy of the book with any registration level that includes a book. You will also have an opportunity to purchase additional copies.
-
Of course! We can photograph your pet with leash on. The vast majority of my sessions are with leashes on. Through post process editing, I can skillfully remove those leashes and make your images look stunning.
-
You are welcome to participate in the photo session with your dog, but photos that will go in the book will be of your dog (s) only.
-
Any dog, any breed is welcome to participate as long as they were rescued!
-
The photographer will collaborate with the participants to determine which images from your session will be included in the book but the photographer will be the final decision maker.
-
Once all photography sessions have been completed, we will have a judging period to determine the pet that will be on the cover.
-
You will receive a copy of the book for each registration that includes a book. Digital files and prints are available for purchase but are not included in your registration fee.
-
The goal is to have the book ready for delivery by December 2023, in time for the holidays.
