Tails of the World: Concord NH 2025

Dogs wanted to be featured in the Tails of the World 2025 coffee table book!

Be a Part of this special international Book Fundraiser benefiting

Australian Shepherds Furever

The Tails of the World™ Collective is an international group of professional pet photographers, all celebrating our local dogs and fundraising for animal rescue.

I am one of many featured international photographers who have been chosen to be a part of the 4th edition of the Tails of the World book. Each chosen photographer will contribute up to 10 dogs to be included. My part in the book will showcase locations in Concord NH.

Accepted applicants will receive the following (for a $99 application fee)

  • A 30 minute photo session with Sandra McCarthy Photography in the Concord NH area. All sessions to take place in July and early August 2025. I am happy to recommend a location.
  • Your $99 application fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for each dog registered
  • A reveal and ordering appointment to view your images. Digitals and print products are available for purchase but are not included in your application fee. (there is no requirement to make any purchase)
  • One image from your session (chosen by me to best fit the book's layout) will be selected along with your dog's information and included in the Tails of the World Coffee table book.
  • The Tails of the World Book is not included in your fee, but copies will be available for purchase. Last year's BOOK is available on Barnes and Noble if you'd like to take a look.
  • 100% of book sales proceeds benefit Geelong Animal Welfare Society (a charity selected by the book's Creator Caitlin J. McColl)

Applications are being accepted through July 15th. Only 10 spots are available.

Please take a moment to review the frequently asked questions below.

If you apply, please add my email (info@sandramccarthyphoto.com) to your contacts/address book to ensure that the upcoming emails reach your inbox. Sometimes I get lumped in with spam/junk mail or sent to Gmail's Promotions tab. You'll want to be sure you're getting my emails as they contain important steps and additional details about this project.

Once the book is published you will have an opportunity to purchase copies of the book.

Can any breed of dog participate?

While the session fees will be donated to an Australian Shepherd rescue organization (Australian Shepherds Furever), any breed can participate in the book project.

When and where will sessions be held?

Sessions will take place in July and early August in the Greater Concord NH area. Once your application is accepted, I will contact you to schedule your session. There will be a series of dates and locations available to select from.

I have more than one dog? Can they all participate?

I can accept a maximum of two dogs per registration.  Given the shortness of the session, it would not allow more than two to be photographed properly.

My pet can't be off leash, can we still have a photo session?

Of course! We can photograph your pet with leash on. The vast majority of my sessions are with leashes on. Through post process editing, I can skillfully remove those leashes and make your images look stunning.

Can I be in the photos?

You are welcome to participate in the photo session, but please note that the focus of the session will be to capture the image that will go in the book which will be of your dog only.

Will I receive any of the photos?

Digital files and prints are available for purchase but are not included in your session. We will have an ordering appointment where you will have an opportunity to review the images taken at the session, and order what you love as wall art, print products such as albums or folio boxes as well as digital files, but there is no requirement to make a purchase but I hope you'll love the images and take advantage of the opportunity to invest in artwork of your pet.

What kind of print products do you offer?

I have a variety of products available including wall art (starting at $650), folio boxes (starting at $900) and albums (starting at $1700). Digital file and gift prints packages are also available (starting at $480). A product/digital purchase is not required to participate but I hope you love your images and will want to get a keepsake from your session.

I have more questions....

If you have any additional questions before applying, feel free to reach me at info@sandramccarthyphotography.com or 603-305-0886.

About Australian Shepherds Furever

Established in 2013, Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF) is a National Non Profit 501(C)(3) Corporation dedicated to saving Australian Shepherds in need nationwide. With the focus of rescue-foster-adoption,  ASF finds puppies and dogs, both mixed and purebred, in need across the continental United States. Our dedicated team of volunteer staff works tirelessly to locate aussies in need of rescue and save them from shelters, deplorable living conditions or other undesireable circumstances. Once in our care, we offer them foster homes, medical care, training, rehabilitation, and all the attention and love they need to thrive again. When each Aussie is ready, we do our due diligence to find them their new, forever home with the perfect person or family.

Established in 1956, GAWS has offered services including an animal shelter and veterinary clinic. They also deliver the Animal Management Services for stray and lost animals brought to their facility by council officers and members of the public for the City of Greater Geelong, Golden Plains Shire, Surf Coast Shire and Borough of Queenscliffe. They care for these animals until they can be reunited with their owners or re-homed in new forever homes.

Their animal shelter receives no government funding and relies on the generous support of the community to deliver this vital work.
